Dr. Davon Carolina

Dr. Davon Carolina

Practice Manager/Veterinarian

Dr. Carolina was born in Philadelphia, PA, but at the age of 4, he relocated to the beautiful island of Freeport, Grand Bahama in the Bahamas where he completed his primary and secondary education. Throughout his childhood, Dr. Carolina developed a love for dogs which became the foundation upon which his passion for taking care of animals was built. This passion ultimately led him to pursue a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

In pursuit of his dream, he moved to Huntsville, Alabama where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at Oakwood College after which he attended Tuskegee University and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine graduating Cum Laude.

As the Practice Manager at Blue Diamond Animal Hospital, he has embraced every challenge with open arms and finds enjoyment in facilitating the growth of his team and practice. Dr. Carolina finds joy in being an advocate for his patients and educating his clients about the health and well-being of their pets.

To this day, Dr. Carolina still considers dogs to be his favorite animal. He has a 10-year-old pitbull affectionately known as Ammo who has not only been his veterinary school study partner, but also his long life pal and now a best friend to his children. When away from the animal world, he enjoys following the Philadelphia Eagles, watching movies, and hugging his wife and children.

Dr. Carolina’s passion for animals continues to grow daily and it is the driving force behind many of his professional decisions. As his practice expands, he will continue to practice medicine and serve his community in a way that will result in the betterment of his patient’s lives.

Dr. Lauryn Gant

Dr. Lauryn Gant

Veterinarian

Dr. Lauryn Gant is a dedicated and passionate veterinarian joining the Blue Diamond Animal Hospital team. Born in Fort Hood, Texas, Dr. Gant grew up as a military brat, experiencing life in 13 different states and moving every two years.

Her aspiration to become a veterinarian took root when she was just four years old, guiding her through her academic journey. Dr. Gant completed both her undergraduate and veterinary studies at Tuskegee University, graduating in 2024.

Although she currently has no pets, Dr. Gant is excited about the prospect of adding furry companions to her life soon. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys watching scary movies, trying new restaurants, and traveling to new places.

A unique and fun fact about Dr. Gant is her extensive travel history across 13 different states, which has enriched her with diverse experiences and perspectives. She is thrilled to join the Blue Diamond Animal Hospital team and looks forward to providing exceptional care to all your pets.

Dr. Lychrissa Harris

Dr. Lychrissa Harris

Veterinarian

Dr. Lychrissa Harris’ journey to becoming a veterinarian began in her childhood in the heart of Mississippi. From the tender age of 3, she exhibited an unwavering passion for caring for animals. Her earliest memories are filled with moments spent nurturing a variety of creatures, from rabbits to squirrels to mini horses. Her great grandmother, with foresight and affection, often remarked, “You’re going to be a Vet.” True to her words, Dr. Harris followed her calling.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Alcorn State University in 2014, Dr. Harris pursued her dream further at Tuskegee University, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2022. Throughout her academic journey, her dedication to the welfare of animals remained steadfast, a commitment that has only strengthened over the years.

During her first year of vet school, Dr. Harris welcomed two furry companions into her life, Journey, a loyal Rottweiler, and Skylar, an adventurous Australian Shepherd. They have become not just pets but cherished members of her family, enriching her life with their boundless love and joy.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Harris finds fulfillment in giving back to her community. She dedicates her time to coaching 2nd-grade basketball in her hometown, instilling values of teamwork and sportsmanship in the next generation.

As a veterinarian at Blue Diamond Animal Hospital, Dr. Harris brings with her a wealth of experience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals. She is committed to providing the highest quality of care to every patient she encounters, ensuring that they receive the attention and treatment they deserve.

Dr. Harris is honored to be a part of the Blue Diamond family and looks forward to making a positive impact in the lives of animals and their owners for years to come.

Dr. Natalie Adam

Dr. Natalie Adam

Veterinarian

Dr. Natalie Adams’s journey into veterinary medicine began in Houston, Texas, where she grew up surrounded by horses. With her father owning a barn, she developed an early and profound connection with these magnificent creatures. Driven by her passion for equestrian sports, she actively participated in competitions such as hunter jumping, honing her skills and deepening her understanding of animal care and welfare.

In 2018, Dr. Adams embarked on a transformative journey to South Africa, where she worked tirelessly at a cheetah conservation project. Immersed in the beauty of the African wilderness, she dedicated herself to the preservation and protection of these endangered big cats, gaining invaluable experience and insight into wildlife conservation efforts.

Following her adventurous spirit and pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Adams continued her academic pursuits, graduating with honors from Prairie View A&M University in 2019 with an undergraduate degree. Shortly after, she answered the call to serve her country and enlisted in the Army, where she further honed her leadership skills and commitment to excellence.

Driven by her passion for veterinary medicine and a desire to make a difference, Dr. Adams earned her graduate degree from Tuskegee University in 2023, graduating with honors once again.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Adams finds joy and relaxation in the culinary arts, exploring new recipes and flavors in the comfort of her home kitchen. She shares her home with her beloved Pitbull, Blu, and her feline companion, Delilah, who bring endless love and companionship into her life.

Now a valued member of the Blue Diamond Animal Hospital family, Dr. Adams is committed to providing the highest standard of care to every patient she encounters. With her expertise, compassion, and dedication, she looks forward to making a positive impact in the lives of animals and their human companions for years to come.
