Now with new ownership, Blue Diamond Animal Hospital provides southwest Las Vegas pet owners with comprehensive, compassionate veterinary care, along with a dog and cat boarding facility. Our multi-doctor practice provides care for cats, dogs, and some pocket pets.

MEET OUR PRINCIPAL DOCTORS

Dr. Davon Carolina

Dr. Davon Carolina

Practice Manager/Veterinarian

Dr. Carolina was born in Philadelphia, PA, but at the age of 4, he relocated to the beautiful island of Freeport, Grand Bahama in the Bahamas where he completed his primary and secondary education. Throughout his childhood, Dr. Carolina developed a love for dogs which became the foundation upon which his passion for taking care of animals was built. This passion ultimately led him to pursue a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

In pursuit of his dream, he moved to Huntsville, Alabama where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at Oakwood College after which he attended Tuskegee University and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine graduating Cum Laude.

As the Practice Manager at Blue Diamond Animal Hospital, he has embraced every challenge with open arms and finds enjoyment in facilitating the growth of his team and practice. Dr. Carolina finds joy in being an advocate for his patients and educating his clients about the health and well-being of their pets.

To this day, Dr. Carolina still considers dogs to be his favorite animal. He has a 10-year-old pitbull affectionately known as Ammo who has not only been his veterinary school study partner, but also his long life pal and now a best friend to his children. When away from the animal world, he enjoys following the Philadelphia Eagles, watching movies, and hugging his wife and children.

Dr. Carolina’s passion for animals continues to grow daily and it is the driving force behind many of his professional decisions. As his practice expands, he will continue to practice medicine and serve his community in a way that will result in the betterment of his patient’s lives.

Dr. Louis

Dr. Louis

Veterinarian

Dr. Louis was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Being born to multicultural parents she quickly became bilingual, being proficient in both English and Spanish. She was raised in a household full of different kinds of animals including birds, tortoises, cats, and dogs, so when she decided to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine her family was not surprised.

Her education started at Colorado State University where she completed her Bachelor’s degree. She then continued her DVM at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts and finalized her studies at Louisiana State University for her practical/clinical education.

After externing at Blue Diamond Animal Hospital, Dr. Louis quickly fell in love with the team and the community. Looking to start her career and further expand her clinical knowledge, she moved out to warm Las Vegas to continue her journey as a DVM

When she is not caring for her patients in the office she spends her time traveling and being a food enthusiast. She is a rescue mom to a little tripod dog named Kali who has been her best friend throughout school and life.

Some of Dr. Louis’ passions include wound management and client education to further try and provide the best care for pets inside and outside of the hospital.

Dr. Clark

Dr. Clark

Veterinarian

Dr. Clark was born in Tampa, Florida, although the mountains of North Carolina is her home. She is a first-generation college student that began her journey at Lees McRae College in a small town named Banner Elk, NC. During her undergraduate education, she spent most of her time at the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, helping sick and injured wildlife, while she completed her dual bachelor of science degrees. She then continued her education at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she focused on small animal and exotic medicine. She had never explored the west coast and after externing with other family clinics, she grew fond of the desert and decided to stay for a while.

Dr. Clark is fear-free certified, and her special interests include feline-specific medicine, soft tissue surgery, and critical care. When she is not caring for patients and building relationships with clients, she enjoys traveling to as many national parks as she can and enjoying time in nature. She is also a devoted cat mother to Gracie, Grant, and the newest edition, Gus Gus.
