Proper nutrition is a common concern for many of the patients we evaluate. There is a great deal of advice available and much of it is being sold to you. We will tell you what your pet in front of us actually needs.
What the visit involves
Starting from your pet
Age, weight, body condition, activity and any condition being managed. The recommendation follows from that.
Weight, honestly
If weight is the problem, we will say so, and give you a plan with numbers rather than a suggestion to feed less.
Food as part of treatment
For some conditions, diet does more than medication does. Where that is true, we will tell you.
